Complete the submission
Upload the manuscript and provide its title, abstract, keywords, author names, affiliations, and corresponding-author contact details.

Confirm declarations
Confirm that the work is not under review elsewhere, all authors approve the submission, and funding, competing interests, ethics, and data or code availability are disclosed where applicable.

Charged only after final acceptance
Publication charge
The charge is due after final acceptance and before publication. There is no fee to submit a manuscript or during peer review.
Authors who need financial assistance may request a full waiver by replying to the journal’s official charge notice. Waiver requests are considered separately from editorial decisions.
